I’ve seen this image before but not the text, and the text just makes it ONE MILLION TIMES better! It’s not a cheesy, irony-free recruitment poster at all, it’s a JOKE, *deliberately* cheesy FAKE recruitment poster! That is so many levels of meta I don’t know where to start - Poe Dameron’s matinee idol good looks & heroism are acknowledged and gently, lovingly, mocked in-universe! Space!PhotoShop is a thing! Memes going viral is also a thing! Is there space!Twitter? Space!Tumblr? Is someone running an in-universe Rate My Droid account? Who has the @BroDameron handle on Space!Twitter? Does Poe have space!Instagram for sharing photos of cool droids, very occasional selfies, and 9 million photos of Finn looking beautiful? It just opens up so many possibilities and I love every one of them, just like I love the name Yolo Ziff. YOLO ZIFF, guys.
This makes me feel weird about Dealing With Your Inevitable Crush On Poe Dameron, though, because I’m like 99% sure I wrote that before I saw this, but it’s weirdly… congruent.
I don’t know. Great minds. Poe Dameron is irresistible. Especially when tousled.
