We are cleaning off the porch today. We use it as a living room in the summer. The first year we lived here, we cleaned it well before moving our stuff out for the summer. The second year, not so well. The third year, thoroughly. The fourth year, not really. And the fifth year, not at all. So right now we're actually using a hose out there. It's been exciting.

I have broken most of my fingernails and am covered in grime. I also did a bunch of gardening to start off the day. I'm blistered and icky from yesterday's work too. I hope the floor dries in time for us to set up out there because I really want to sit out there and get hammered tonight. That would just be really pleasant...

It's all that's sustaining me at the moment. I'm really, really, really gross right now.

so sleepy

Is it insane of me to want to go sleep in the tent in my yard?
The tent is set up so I could look it over and measure it and see how it went together. It's the one I'm supposed to use for Pennsic. The thing is, it's enormous. I mean, it doesn't seem big to me, but when I mentioned the measurements to my Pennsic land agent, he sort of seemed, well, less than pleased.

But I really am thinking about going to sleep in the yard. I haven't camped out in my own yard since I was, like... well, 18 or so...
