sleep fringes

I've developed the bad habit of not getting out of bed precisely when I wake up.

I used to roll over and rub my eyes as I woke up my computer, the moment I was barely conscious, and starting to work right away. Now I lie in bed until my eyes don't stick shut anymore.

The problem? Besides all the time this wastes, that's when I have weird, weird dreams.

This one wasn't really a dream, but was nearly one.

house to myself

for the second night in a row, i have the house to myself all evening.

yesterday evening I lay on the couch with the dog and watched the special features on Fellowship's Extended Edition dvd set.

Tonight... I took advantage of having the house to myself by...

Yes. I am such an exciting person.
Bert watched in total dumbfoundedness as I did lame aerobic exercises for nearly an hour. She really didn't know what to make of it. She's smart, but in beagle world that just means knowing lots of words and tipping your head on cue. Aerobics, she doesn't get.

I was going to go running but you know, it was raining, and raining kinda hard. So...

I am now buff and sweaty, and I smell really bad. Yay!

edit: And then, I took the dog for a walk. Am I awesome or what?

Go ahead, admit it. You realize that I am totally awesome.

Now it's only 6:30 and I have another 3+ hours till anyone gets home. What now???

I just spent two hours watching some of the "appendices" on the fellowship extended edition dvd set.

Much of it is fairly amusing. Some is not.

However. The most amusing thing I learned was in the section on the sound design of the film.

That horrible noise the Ringwraiths make? That screeching, unearthly horrible fingernails-on-chalkboard thing they do?

That's Peter Jackson's wife. Fran Walsh.
