I hope it worked, and if it didn’t I hope you can take something with codeine in it. Eyes = migraines to me, but it can also be a knock-on effect of jaw clenching, or a cluster headache. Tension/BP headaches are often on the top of the head or the temples, but I could be wrong as mine are classic migraine fuckers. If you can, avoid fans behind lights, fires & candles, or those candle-imitating led things. Flickers are awful.

This is all great and valuable advice so I’m replying to the reply to sort of put it out there for anyone else with this issue. I am as always a total novice and amateur and wimp about headaches, as I blessedly seldom get them, and I would really like to stay that way, though I don’t really like to be ignorant, so I’ll take whatever knowledge I can get.

(Also blessedly, I’ve only ever had a couple of migraines and they were purely ocular migraines, with all kinds of wacky auras and hallucinations and shit but very little pain. it still wasn’t exactly what I’d call fun, but it wasn’t excruciating either, so I’ll take it, and fortunately they were apparently only caused by violent full-body rotational forces, so I stopped doing those derby exercises and that was that. for real though, people, fling yourself full-speed at the floor, monkey-roll over your own body without slowing down, and get up and continue, repeating the process once you’re up to full speed, for five minutes without pausing, then take a break and repeat it until complete exhaustion? no, the human body is not really designed to endure those kinds of forces over and over and over and over again, and that was one of the times when I absolutely could tell that no one with any kind of sports medicine education or even basic education in how human bodies work was coming up with practice schedules. that among other things. lord, i survived derby, but it’s kind of a miracle.)

Me… well, weirdly, I got home from work, and Dude was like “oh I have that exact same problem?” like down to the smallest detail. So that was really odd.

He and I went and ate dinner, and in his case it cleared the headache up, which strongly suggests to me that his wasn’t really the same as mine?? but. Anyway.

I tried to avoid screens, and went to bed early, and it seems to have blessedly, finally cleared up overnight. Which is good because I have so much goddamn shit to do today.
