I am NOT in the mood for today.
The printer is fucking up, and to our distress, we find that the service contract we have with them is the absolute minimal one where they just tell us over the phone what might be wrong, and we poke around and get covered in ink-dust trying to figure it out.

So there's that.
We have over 500 pages to print by next Thursday. It's important. They have to come out well. They're not, so far.

Add to that the fact that Computer Guy is sitting in the kitchen telling the creepy little programmer that he's a novice at forcing people off the road (at full volume, so that we're having trouble hearing the printer tech on the phone)... (To hear Computer Guy tell, he's lived his whole life in a spy movie, and is continually oppressed by the mediocrity of Windows even though Windows works acceptably for millions of people.)
The looks I got from the group in the kitchen when I went and shut the door to block out Computer Guy's inane yowling...

Add to that the fact that the forms-printing program I've been working on isn't quite working, and now the programmer's getting really snippy with me-- the forms have been printing with IE headers and footers. His tests never showed them, mine did. This infuriated him. He was sure this must be my fault, I could tell, but I tried my damnedest to be pleasant and non-confrontational about it. I understand; he's got more important things to do. BUT SO DO I. I'm not making the program break!!!
So, the most recent thing-- the headers don't show now, which is great, but one of the forms printed out its raw HTML code!!
So Programmer came to look at it, and the form wouldn't display in the program at all. He was amused and triumphant that this was now My Problem because obviously something was wrong with the form, and skipped off snapping his fingers.

But there's nothing wrong with the file. It's based on the same template. I have the source code printed out right here. It's fine. It's not broken.
I thought perhaps I'd improperly formatted the .ini file, and perhaps that was the problem. But I didn't-- it's fine!!

So I can't find a problem with the form, and am sure it's the program, but he's become so unpleasant about it... I can't blame him too much because yes, it's a pain in the fucking ass, but on the other hand, it's a pain in my ass too and I'm not taking it out on him.

I AM NOT IN THE MOOD FOR TODAY!!!
If Computer Guy comes over here, I'm going to disembowel him.
T's wielding a sharp knife she had to use to clean the fuser cleaning pad for the printer, and she's squeaking the music from psycho. another coworker who hangs out over here a lot has even managed to become slightly grumpy, and she's one of the most cheerful people I know.

It's not just me. This is The Friday That Was Meant To Be Taken Off.
