"It's just software. You have to figure out what you need to do within your organization and then get the right stuff for that. And we're not a backwards organization. We're progressive; we've won communications and design awards...The fact that I'm not sending my e-mail through Outlook doesn't hinder us. It's just kind of funny. I'm speaking to a standing-room-only audience at a major technology show because I use a different piece of software--that's hysterical. "
The CEO of Ernie Ball, on dumping Microsoft and going open-source.
This weekend was lovely by the way. Apparently I didn't update. My parents gave me a papasan chair, as expected. It's now got a place in my living room, but I had to do a lot of rearranging for it. Which I did Monday night and during the day Tuesday. Now my living room is awesome, and I have a sweet setup for my computer. I daydreamed all day about coming home and sitting in the chair. :D It's quite nice.
We also saw all kinds of cool things-- Saturday at the Highland Games in Altamont we watched a lot of bagpipe competitions, and Sunday at the county fair we watched a draft horse event where horse teams were pulling nearly 12,000 pounds. Teams of two, mind you.
Here's a great one:
