Wacom Tablet
Jul. 20th, 2003 05:04 pmI just bought one. Do I really want to keep it?
The mouse with it was billed as "optical". It's not. It only works on the tablet, so I can't move it from on the tablet.
so I'd pretty much need to have another mouse anyway.
I got the tablet on sale at Circuit City-- it was cheap, a $30 rebate off of about $100. So it was affordable. i've been wanting one for a while.
problem?
It comes with Photoshop Elements--- for Windows. I need Elements 2 to even try it out. Phooey.
I might hook it up to the PC to give it a shot. Otherwise... I'm trying it out, but I might send it back. I don't know if I really want it. I don't want to have to buy yet another mouse. The stupid computer came with an utterly useless $50 mouse, which I can neither return nor use. (The Apple Pro buttonless mice are fucking useless, no matter what anyone tells you-- just you try to *not* click a mouse whose entire surface is clickable. I couldn't drag to save myself. It was much harder to use than the touchscreen on a laptop. Ugh.)
Well, impulse purchases, y'know? I should look up and see how many days I have to return it to Circuit City.
It would be awesome if it worked. It's just much harder to use than I'd hoped.
Anybody have any experiences to share about these damn things?
