dragonlady7: self-portrait but it's mostly the DSLR in my hands in the mirror (Default)

i stayed up far too late last night trying to get page layout ideas from csszengarden.com and strangebanana.com. The sketches I made for myself are probably incomprehensible now that I'm not actually in the midst of doing them.

I'm also importing mp3s wholesale from my pc into itunes. i've been listening to itunes at work and enjoying it, but certain songs i really like are missing... so here i go. I've got Dave's collection over 2000 songs, and over 10 gig now. 5.1 days of playing time. It was already 9 gig last night, with some of my collection previously imported.

the playlists on my new computer are gonna be awesome.

at home i have a bunch of cds in mind that i have to copy. a bunch of cds that i suppose are technically my parents', but i used to play all the time... and a bunch of cd's i traded to my sister but i want to hear again.

i can't sleep this morning. at 5:45 i had to pee. Now it's 6:30 and some jackass can't get the car's motor to catch. So he keeps trying to start it anyway. It's been like 15 minutes. It's ridiculous. He's just draining the battery.

Now my tonsils are swollen. They hadn't been, up to now. Not much, anyway. But now it's enough to notice.
I don't know what's causing the sore throat, but I've got some mystery goo when I cough, including a hell of a lung cookie the morning before last, so i'm guessing perhaps some kind of a sinus infection or respiratory infection? I don't know. I do know my tongue is marigold yellow, which is surreal. I've brushed my teeth and tongue like four times and I'm still yellow. Have been for two days. I don't know why. Not my skin, or my eyes-- that'd be my liver, and BAD-- just my tongue. Ew.

I can't listen to the Eels. I bought their CD Beautiful Freak when i was in scotland, and listened to it mostly when i was in norway. i had mono and was being threatened with expulsion remotely over stupid rumors. It was a depressing time of life. Moreso because I didn't know I had mono and thought I was just being lazy. I fell down the stairs one morning while noone was home and lay looking at the ceiling for five or six hours, until I heard someone about to come in the house, so I dragged myself to the couch and got on it so I wouldn't look like such an idiot.
So the Eels depress me. They're depressing anyway. But I can't abandon the mp3 to rest eternally on my pc...
Ever heard Hank Williams Jr.'s "I'd Love To Knock The Hell Right Out Of You"? Self-proclaimed (he says it in the song) ultimate country and western song. It kicks ass. Somewhat literally.

Hack hack cough hack eww, there's an awful chemical taste in my mouth and i don't know why. hurk.
Crap, I should get up and take a shower now. but i have more mp3s to copy!! sigh.
Right. On with my life. I just thought I'd post this surreal, icky morning interlude for you all to share. Go check out the websites up top that i didn't actually link to. they're cool.
