waitin for a restart...

dragonlady7i'm at work, waiting for my computer to restart... had to install some stuff, figured i'd do a windows update while i was waiting... just did a system update on the mac.
dave and i went to the mac store last night. it was fun. we drove to the westchester and hung out in the apple store.
dave consulted with the Genius (at the Genius Bar) about a problem with his powerbook-- when you close it, the microphone squeals with feedback. very weird.
the genius didn't know, really... suggested a clean install. hadn't seen the problem before. Geesh.
I spent that time playing with a 17" iMac. I cracked open Photoshop and played with their stock photographs. I found the buttonless mouse quite difficult to work with. I really, really like my mouse. It's a ps2, though, so i can't keep it.
Bummer.
Oh well. I want a 2-button mouse so I can use it with Expose. That looks cool.
I think I will get an imac after all. Then I can really masquerade as a suburbanite yuppie twit, completing my camoflage here...
Yeah. It'd be cool...
I have to wait for the new ones to come out so the price drops, though. I'm really freaking poor, is the problem. :-/
