Me: I feel like hell.
Dave stands up, walks over, reaches out one finger, and pokes me in the chest.
Dave: Hell feels like... boobs.
I really do feel icky. I have this intermittent sinus pressure thing going on, that's sometimes ok and sometimes awful (I went to rest my head on dave's shoulder last night and it hurt too much for me to deviate my head from straight upright), and I had to sleep partially sitting up last night.
I'm on antibiotics already, and have been popping vitamins, ibuprofin, and sudafed all week to counteract first the sore throat and now this sinus thing, but now the throat thing is back this morning, and my ears feel funny, and it's just icky.
So I'm drinking fresh-squeezed orange juice and trying to steel myself for the day at hand.
But, in other health news, the terribly expensive goo I got seems to be having some effect on my hands.
Whether good or bad, I don't know. I did find out that it costs nearly $200 a tube, so the insurance did pay for half of it. So I put it on and it stung like hell, and was just little pinpricks of itchy pain for about ten minutes, but then my hands seemed ok... until about 10 hours later, when they were all blisters and ickiness. So i added more and it stung again. Argh, But at least it's doing something. We looked it up online and it's classified as one of the most powerful topical corticosteroids on the market. Hmm... Well, I hope it ends up being worth my $92.
I'll tell about the lovely afternoon I had yesterday some other time. It's worth its own entry. :-)
And in other news entirely, Ann agreed that it'd be a pretty good idea for her to just get my computer when she goes to college, in return for me getting a different one. She thought my computer sounded pretty good.
So, i may well be getting an imac after all. :D
Except that for some reason my mother seems to disapprove of the whole scheme. i don't know why.
Sigh....
Off to work. :-[
