If any of you decide that you need to kill yourselves by climbing the Tappan Zee Bridge at rush hour and then standing there for three hours, I have no pity for you in my heart.
I firmly believe that the police should shoot you on sight and end your misery.

That said, it seems that the Tappan Zee is open again, so I hope the bastard jumped and they're not bothering to dredge the river. I mean... they know he jumped and wasn't pushed, and he wanted to die anyway so there's no reason to try to save him. He doesn't deserve the effort. If his body turns up, it turns up. Whatever.
Either that or the police pulled him down and he's in jail and will NEVER fucking get out. Obnoxious little bastard.

In the meantime, I'm actually being really busy today. I hope Dave made it to work eventually...
I started off immediately by searching Google for backlinks to the company website, and copying and pasting the URL of the link, the link page's Google PageRank, the text of the link to our page, and the descriptive information of the page itself whereupon the link sits.
I'm not sure why this is important, but I have it now in a nice little NotePad document. We have a lot of good links, which could explain our current PageRank of 5 (not too shabby...) but we also have a lot of inexplicable links. Including from a directory of sites that make trialware software.
We don't.
So...
We're also listed in a German and Russian directory. Very strange.
But those don't all show up on Google, which is what I'm primarily concerned with.

So I feel productive there.
I also cleaned up the actual code of our front page, for starters. Last night I checked the entire site for links and images, and more were broken than I'd've hoped.
So I emailed myself a list of problems, and I'm going to address those in a bit.
In the meantime I'm trying to print out the rest of the spec sheets we need for our marketing materials. I took over doing that because 1) it made me feel productive, 2) I could do it better than anyone else (I can hear the printer, I know how to adjust the printer, and I can see if there are errors. Also, my eye for color is vastly better than the other girl's. She had it calibrated "correctly" but there wasn't enough magenta and way too much cyan and do you realize how dumb Windows screencaptures look if the default Windows gray has too much cyan and not enough magenta? The answer: Way worse than you'd think. Windows gray is a freakin' picky color). And 3) It satisfies my sense of organization. I just like printing things.
So, there I am, being all useful. I think the General Ledger spec sheet is just about finished. Yay...
And this afternoon I'll do some work on a help system, and I'll be so useful and awesome they'll give me a raise.
Well. Maybe not.
But at least I'll get my paycheck this afternoon. Yes, it's payday!!!
:-D

The moral of the story is that every day needs to involve me getting money and love. That's just how it is. I'm a much better person when I get money and love. Though just one or the other would be ok, I think.
:-)
Oop, the printer's done. Byebye!
