Yep. Another shitty day.
i don't mind the rain as much as some people might. it's not that bad. the world is so aggressively green now. i don't like dry summers when the grass all dies. it's good for the world to have some rain now and then.
it's just a little depressing when it's just always muddy. i'm not walking either direction today. i'll probably walk both directions tomorrow. Because it will be sunny tomorrow... But then it's supposed to rain the rest of the week.
Yeah, we were going to go into the City this weekend and we didn't. I just... I got my period and had bad cramps and didn't want to be wandering around wondering if my pad was leaking, etc., so I really didn't want to go anywhere at all. We did check out our town's farmer's market, which was plenty satisfying.
I haven't paid Dave rent yet. I need to do that. Probably tonight after we get home from grocery shopping. I need to pay my credit card and electric bills, too, so I'd better do that.
My new keyboard remains satisfactory and more.
My mother now outweighs me by only twenty pounds, I might add. She's only one dress size larger than me, as well. I IM'd her yesterday and she told me that the patio will be done by July-- wow-- and that my sister's graduation party will be July 4th weekend. July 4 is a Friday, yay!! Maybe I can convince Dave to take the long weekend and come up with me to visit my folks. That'd be nice.
In the meantime, I have to stay strong and work on my figure a bit. I think I'll still look trimmer than her even if she does meet her goal and lose another 20 pounds, because about 15-20 pounds of my weight is in my boobs, but still. The fact remains, I will be the fattest in my family if I don't shape up. Sigh...
I don't want to be the chubby bridesmaid. I think I should probably start working on my arms, as it's likely that the bridesmaids' dresses will be sleeveless, and I don't want to be shamed... My arms aren't so bad, but they're not so good either.
Tonight Dave's picking me up after work and we're going grocery shopping at Stew Leonards' again. But we're not going on an empty stomach-- no no. I brought some rice and a Pyrex dish and i'm going to make us rice with leftover shrimp szechuan sauce dumped over it, and we'll have a little pre-shopping snackie so we won't be so hungry that we buy everything in the store.
i'm also going to try to make up a plan for what to buy...
So it will all be nice and we can have a break from meatballs. We did eat all the ones in the fridge almost right away and enjoyed them. Dave kept making jokes, though... Oh well. I think I'll let the ones in the freezer mellow in there a little while, and make something else to freeze as well. I'm thinking lasagna... I don't have a good veggie lasagna recipe, but it can't be that hard to fake it, right? I don't actually know. perhaps I'll research that over lunch. Somebody brought over a really nice lasagna to dave's folks after the funeral-- quatro fromaggio with spinach-- and it was great.
So, anyhow, I hear T., so I'm going to look busy. :-)
