a quick recipe

dragonlady7so i don't forget this, i just figured i'd better write it down.
2 lbs pork
5 cups bbq sauce
combine
5 hrs slow cooker
pull pork and serve warm on rolls for pulled pork sandwiches.
that's the recipe dave's dad told me for the pulled pork that we're eating the last of today. yes, it's been three weeks or more since that picnic, but the pork has been in the freezer.
he made pulled pork and smoked turkey for the picnic two days before he died. so the last of the leftovers fills me with a little bit of sentiment. and i thought, knowing me, i'll forget that.
so, there's that.
i think when i actually get my for-public-consumption, real actual semi-professional blog off the ground, the theme may be The World's Most Forgetful Person. Because I more or less am.
I'm going to do a series of articles entitled Things I Taught Myself For A Project And Have Written Down Because I'll Forget Them Otherwise, because there's a bunch of those now that I have to finish writing. I wrote one on search engine optimization on the train to Buffalo, but it needs 1) to be retrieved from the Newton, and 2) to be edited so it makes sense.
I think it can't hurt, though, to have a semi-professional site online that I actually devote some thought to the content of. Why not? I might even buy a domain name for it, though i don't know what. Maybe I'll put a poll up asking...
All it's waiting for is for me to sit down and do a proper design and create some content, and for Dave to finish creating the database he was working on.
edit: The PMS is so bad, that this news story actually made me cry. Actual real tears. I had to go to the ladies' room to compose myself. Isn't that the saddest thing you've ever heard? Ever ever ever ever ever... *sob*
