Actually the flowers is everywhere. I pass the most quaint gardens on my way in here. Daffodils, cherry blossoms, forsythia, tulips, crocuses, violets... all kinds of things I can't even identify. And whatever I may say about the crappy office building where I work, the landscaping is divine. Weeping cherry trees with pink blossoms, one huge tree covered in white blossoms, bright green lawns, etc. Green buds are on every tree. Our apartment gets more beautiful by the day as the trees get greener. It's a beautiful area, around here.
And the prickerbushes are hell on earth, of course. On Monday when I felt sick i went home early, on foot, and got caught in the prickers. I had to break off branches with my hands that had become tangled in my hair. Thorny branches. I was still pulling thorns out Tuesday afternoon. Most of the branches came out in the shower on Monday night... I looked a wreck.
I'm still not feeling quite right. I think I strained my eyes, driving on Sunday.
I can't switch back and forth between contacts and glasses. I have to wear only one in a day. And if I take my glasses off to read something, I can't put them back on.
But I'm too blind not to wear any corrective lenses at all.
So I'm either doomed to headaches, or I need to give up my vanity and never wear contacts again. Or I need to get freakin laser eye surgery. But I don't have optical insurance. Sigh.
So I'll have to look into all of that. But I've had trouble for three days now; I can't look at my computer screen, or at a book or magazine, or at anything close to me that requires focusing, for longer than an hour or so, or I get an awful headache.
This isn't usually such a problem, but it's kicking my ass just now.
Growl.
Maybe I need to get a different prescription... but my glasses are new (sort of) and I have a year's supply of disposable contacts! Bastards.
And, still, I don't have optical health insurance.
Sigh.
I'll just push my chair even farther back from my desk and try working like that.
