Ha the mantel held up, but I did have some worries. The house is historic and I kept asking if the mantel was like old and stuff and if we should be careful and my sister, who owns the house, was like, *shrug* so... we put nails in it. It was really something.
I was mostly just pleased with myself for having run to WalMart and bought stocking gifts for all of the adults. I may make this an annual tradition. I'm kind of excited about it.
We do little stocking gifts for everyone, every year. Nothing expensive. Like - a bag of tiny candycanes, one in each stocking. Or a $1 set of laser guns, in two people's stockings, to spark a war.
