dragonlady7good morning!
had a lovely night getting piss-drunk with dave. he had an unfortunate encounter with the contents of a brandy bottle that seem to have upset his stomach. But, he remains cute nonetheless.
The God people rang the bell this morning. Ugh. We have a shiny pamphlet about God now. Sigh.
Had a lovely evening last night. Made Chicken Helper casserole, burned fingers, owwie. Dave came home and insisted we crack open the bottle of white wine he bought the other day, so we had a bottle of wine with our posh, posh dinner (adding canned corn, black pepper, salt, and thyme to the casserole made it better. mm.)... Upon completion of the wine, we moved on to vodka with cider, Vernor's and Crown Royal, sherry straight, brandy straight, rum and cider, and more sherry... I didn't drink any of the brandy, though it was tasting better than i ever remember brandy tasting. my tastebuds were pretty brutalized by then, i think.
So Dave got quite drunk, and sat with his head in his hands telling me how much his buddy Corey frustrated him because he empathized so strongly with him and could see his mistakes before they happened and warn him but he never listened... It was funny. I got drunk enough that I couldn't spell anymore, and found that all deeply, deeply moving (hey, I like corey too, i can understand dave's point of view; it's almost like my relationship with various siblings)... Etc. etc. etc.
So, all in all, good evening. Now I know what Dave's like drunk. Pretty much the same way I am. Really sincere, talkative, emotional, etc. Fun stuff.
Now it's lunchtime, tho' Dave doesn't agree with me that food would be a good thing. Hm... I think I can manage.
