Frogs singing in next room. I just went in and turned off their heat lamp, thinking they'd be ok without it-- their night light broke, and I should've bought another one today but I forgot.
Hmm...
Of all the freaking luck... I dragged Abbie to that career fair, and she didn't want to talk to anyone while we were there. We spotted a Seton Health sign, and she said "hey, i go to the doctors there", and we went and talked to them, and the recruiter had just moved to Schaghticoke Village so we talked about that, and we picked up applications, and sure enough, Abbie called them because she didn't understand what was on the application... and they invited her in for an interview already! 40-hr week, 9-5 M-F, benefits, holidays, tuition reimbursement, uniform allowance, and what do you do? Arts and crafts with the old folks.
Hmph.
Well. I'm sure I'll get a job someday. And Abbie's happy. Maybe she'll get the job. I hope she does. She needs one.
If I get a job in this area maybe we'll get an apartment together. I think she could use a roommate, to help her get away from her mom... I dunno. Either we'd drive each other crazy, or we'd have a blast. Tough to tell.
Am hunting for jobs at RPI. They handed out a thingy at the job fair, with a URL where you could find the jobs online if you didn't have enough resumes, and the URL is wrong. D'oh! I found the listings by searching, though. Which is good, I guess.
D'OH! The stupid employment application, through Acrobat Reader, isn't opening up! This computer has acrobat reader, but it seems not to be working. Bastards!
Ah well.
I'll do it by snail-mail.
I must get a job. I don't care where. Really. I must...
Hee. Zobar and I are discussing the sex lives of our siblings. I think I'm pretty OK with it all. He's struggling not to go fetal at the idea that his sister, in her late 20's and married, may possibly have relations of a sort with her husband.
Well, I'm trying to be all Zen and cool about it. It's surprisingly easy to be cool about, actually. i mean... it's logical... humans are born with sex parts, and brain chemistry to back them up, so at some point, they're bound to use them... but zobar is in fetal denial at the whole concept. Silly boy.
Anyhow. I am sleepy. I go now. Goodnight.
