dragonlady7Again, there's a fat tree frog climbing up the screen. He's not as fat today. I think these fellas gain and lose weight rapidly... He took another shit but I was ready for him this time, and caught it in his water bowl and threw it out before it landed on anything and infected it with grossness.
Now he's hopping across the keyboard. Silly frog, I don't know where he thinks he's going. The other one's out too, watching but not moving.
They're so cute.
I had just one rant that I was going to go off on yesterday, and that's a complaint about the lack of responsibility for their actions that lawmakers, politicians, executives, etc seem to feel. They're asking young men and women to die for them; are they even aware of how serious that is? Are they sure that the demands they're about to make are the right thing? I mean really, really sure?
I just don't have faith that they are.
And that's really, really depressing.
In other news... had fun yesterday with Abbie... got some good ideas... might do some work once I can get settled down in one place. That place may well be Zobar's, for the moment-- I'm heading down there this Friday, i guess, so that we can leave Friday night for Buffalo, and come straight back to Jersey City afterward.

Anyhow. I think I'll be bringing a bunch of my furniture down this time. He needs a desk; I have two. Some shelves would be nice; I have several sets. A desk chair? Sure, I have a couple. And I'm dead set on bringing my teakettle, because it just takes all the fun out of tea if you have to boil the water in a ratty old saucepan.
Good thing the frog is too light to depress any of the keys, because he's jumping across the keyboard. Makes it a bit more challenging to type-- avoid the Frog hazard! Well, I don't ever use the F5,F6,F7 keys anyhow, so he can sit there if he wants.
So, hopefully I won't get all this furniture down to Dave's, and then suddenly find myself with a job up here. :-/ That's how Lady Fate likes to treat me, however, so I wouldn't be surprised. It's OK, I have more furniture.
Frog's back on the monitor. Are you hyper or what, Bob?
(I've renamed them Thingumy and Bob. I thought that maybe they'd be happier with pronounceable names.) Thingumy's still watching from the pile of papers by the printer. Bob's back on the keyboard now... Maybe he's bored.
I kind of want to get a goldfish. I think that'd be fun. A goldfish or a betta fish.
Anyhow. I also need to find homes for my plants, which are all on the porch just now-- there'll be a frost tonight, perhaps, so I've got to get them inside. Hm. Maybe those will be invading Zobar's apartment too. You know, I think that much stuff constitutes a lifestyle change for Zobar... hope he's up to it!
Brr. It's cold in here. Soon I'll be putting the frogs back in their cage, and eating lunch. After lunch I'm going to change the stuff in their cage, which is kind of ratty and old. Then I'll clean their travel jar and put in new clean stuff... they're going to Zobar's too! I'm also determined to bring down my computer's remaining components- monitor, speakers, extra cables. I'd steal the scanner but don't think I could get away with it, so too bad. Then I have to reorganize my clothes and figure out which ones to bring down to JC.
Sigh. I also am going to try to clean my room somewhat, so it'll be more usable when I'm gone. As it is they couldn't put guests in it, but if I hoe it out and reorganize a little, they could.
So... hopefully, I'll be productive and actually get things done today. But... who knows.
