Job fair tomorrow, in albany. am going with abbie. wish me luck. perhaps there will be something worthwhile there. but i strongly, strongly doubt it.
having trouble talking abbie into it. she doesn't know what to put on her resume, as she's never had a job really. i'm pointing out that she's done a lot of freelance work and odd jobs, and those do count.

oh, i have a website again, thanks to Zobar!!!http://66.250.201.11/~bg/
so check that out.
not much on there yet.

argh. if you don't know how to open an attachment, why are you online? it's not that hard.
sorry, just a momentary rant.
i'll be ok.

Zobar is so sweet. I must stop being gooshy now.

Right, job fair tomorrow. I must go to sleep so I can get up.

I slept quite late this morning, as I didn't get to bed until quite late. I woke at probably 10 am, but fell back asleep. I was having the most complex and involved dream... there was a massive cast of characters, dynastic in scope-- some of them were escaping war-torn New Jersey to make new lives for themselves, now adults, in the new world... among the cast of characters at the office was that guy from News Radio and George W. Bush (nobody liked W., and there was a complex intraoffice plot to play some silly prank on him). I think the main female character was called Diamante or something, and she started out as quite young in the dream but matured to a grown woman, and worked in the aforementioned office, having survived the war (which was very WWII-esque but in the earlier part of the dream, so i don't remember it well; i just recall that Hoboken was particularly hard-hit), and towards the end of the dream she'd just found herself a passionate new beau (the dream got rather purple at some points)... there was another sister, whose name might have begun with A, but as the dream went on I was more invested in D's progress.
There were some ocean scenes, too, like at a sort of grimy beach.
Anyhow. Part of the dream took place in a strange and baroque house, during the war part, where, Holocaust-like, the owner of the house was preoccupied with hiding and protecting the children/family [i don't remember] and apparently was a builder because he kept building secret rooms into his increasingly complex house, where they were hidden and happy. The children were thus sheltered from the worst of the war (and so was I, the viewer, because I don't remember any of it), and kept safe.
Many of the houses in the dream, or structures I should say, I could view like dollhouses-- open on one side, and i could look in, and they were all in cartoony Cubist perspective in places...
it was hazy but far more epic than i usually get to have, so it was quite pleasant.
I don't seem to remember anything about Diamante but the more I think the more vivid she is, and I think I'm just making it up as i go along-- she was petite and dark-haired, blue-eyed, sharp-witted, curvy, with full red lips and a classy dress sense. One of those witty self-possessed neat little women. Though she might've been taller than 'petite'.
Don't remember other characters at all, but there was much interoffice politicking at one point, and a humorous cast of characters there.

So, where did all that come from? I don't know, but it's comforting to know my brain is still working enough to generate such complex flights of fancy. I may have to incorporate Diamante into something, though her name's not terribly ... I dunno, I just don't know how good it is. It's the last name of the kid who's become the fencing club president this year... Italian for diamond, i think... maybe it's an ok name for a character. I've been having trouble with character names lately, so it'd be helpful if i dreamed up a few whizzbangers, but no luck so far. I recently almost named a character Bawn because I was so stuck for a name. What would you name a male bandit, in a fantasy novel? I came up with that name because it was so dumb, and couldn't think of anything better.
But anyway...

Right. Now sleep.
