yay, the new kitchen cabinets just arrived. took like 35 minutes for the guy to unload them-- wouldn't let me help, so i stood around like a moron. So now my family has a whole new kitchen with 'birch' cabinets and blue-and-white countertops.
Apparently I'm going to be involved in their installation. I also get to change the oil in my car (and grease all the wheel fitting thingies) this weekend-- I tried to do it alone, but I wasn't sure how to use the hydraulic jack and jackstands on my car. And Dad would prefer I didn't, by myself, at least until he's seen me do it properly once. Because when a car falls on you it's never pleasant. Especially a car as low to the ground as mine. So I think I'll be waiting on that one.
I have no idea how the kitchen is to be redone, but I know I have to clean off the back porch so that we can eat there. We also have to get the stove out of the way-- it's probably not going to be cold enough to merit a woodstove fire anytime in the near future.
My room remains a disaster area, but I don't really care that much. It doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

In old news, my friend Yabbie-dabbie-doo added a comment to my problem post which was greatly appreciated. yay for me not being crazy and people rationally supporting my position! I gotta go hang out with yabbers; i think she's back in town too. Always fun. I used to go there and we'd eat the orange kind of macaroni and cheese... that was a treat for me, when i was little. Her mom still adores me, too, which is always nice. Yay for childhood friends. She's just graduated too, and is looking for a job, and as lost as me.
I applied for a couple jobs today, on monster.com, and on hotjobs.com. please, somebody, anybody, email me back, or something!! Sigh.

Oh my gosh, my shoulder is peeling where I sunburned it two goddamn weeks ago!
(funny. i always say something was "two weeks ago". it's like my default passage of time. I don't really know how long ago it was. The day before memorial day. any rate, an improbably long time ago, for it to just be peeling now.)

Anyhow. I go now, to do something useful perhaps. I'm so shiftless... sigh.
Right. Bye.

Minor suggestion when dealing with either of those two websites, dont' really wait for them to call/e-mail (Unless of course there is no phone number associated with the posting) cause I heard nothing back until I started calling and pestering the companies
