Yes, cookies & hugs are an important part of stress management, but it's hard to have them on hand when you need them; that's one of the main reasons for working at a marriage (or trying to pick a partner -look for one who is there with cookies & hugs when you need them)! It's also why family is so important; they don't have to like what you're up to at the time. but the cookies & hugs are automatic; it's an investment in Us Against The World.
