sheesh, i asked my dad (a 35-year Army veteran) about why there's such fierce interservice rivalry, and he proceeded to actually TELL me... oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. The horror.
Apparently the Air Force killed as many Infantrymen as the Koreans...
Innocent misunderstandings, all of them, I'm sure, but somehow it's just easier to take that shit from the Artillery, since you can call them directly on the radio. And you know they're getting rained on too.

So never ask an old infantryman what he thinks of the air force. It's just not cute.

Yes, when in doubt blame it on the Air Force.

Hey, tell your dad that the Air Force learned it's bad tendencies when it was still apart of the Army (The Army Air Corps). That would rule. :)

yeah, the Air Corps sure had no qualms about blowing the shit out of the Infantry either in 1944 in Italy, either.
They didn't get rained on then either.

umm actually the infantry has never had any problems blowing the shit out of themselves.
Friendly fire is always an issue and will most likely always be an issue
