thinking of things military...
Mar. 17th, 2002 10:59 amsheesh, i asked my dad (a 35-year Army veteran) about why there's such fierce interservice rivalry, and he proceeded to actually TELL me... oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. The horror.
Apparently the Air Force killed as many Infantrymen as the Koreans...
Innocent misunderstandings, all of them, I'm sure, but somehow it's just easier to take that shit from the Artillery, since you can call them directly on the radio. And you know they're getting rained on too.
So never ask an old infantryman what he thinks of the air force. It's just not cute.
