Mar. 5th, 2002 12:37 pmok, does anyone know how to take action against an internet service provider that sends nothing but junk mail?
I've forwarded every message I've recieved from yaddayadda@teamfreeze.com to abuse@teamfreeze.com requesting that they not allow their subscribers to send me junk email, and my emails aren't returning, but they're not being responded to, and I've recieved like 45 emails from somethingorother@teamfreeze.com in the last two weeks. Is there some governing body I can complain to?
I understand that these emails may actually not be from those addresses, but usually the abuse@whatsit account will respond and say so. Or the abuse@ won't exist, and i'll get my emails back. This abuse@ exists and is making no response. And I'm getting damn sick of the same emails over and over again. The addresses keep changing subtly, but they're the same damn thing. And always teamfreeze.com!
why do people even spam? has spam ever worked? I've never bought anything from a spammer, or even gone to the website they were pushing. Never!
Why must they flood my inbox daily with such tripe?
I know I got myself on two junk lists, and I deal with that; they're clearly marked as to where they came from. But the others are just finding my address by random generators: i know this because the other recipients are b---@rochester.rr.com, etc. -- similar addresses alphabetically to mine. I didn't do anything to get on this list. I can't do anything to get off it?
Grr.

Date: 2002-03-05 11:25 am (UTC)for a more punitive response to the isp, you could always ask darius what to do. he's really good at getting clever and wicked on the asses of those who wrong him.
thanks for expunging the sn on a certain entry, by the way.
