If you need help organizing your google docs, let me know, because i am a google docs master. I will sort the crap out of your google docs and I’ll ENJOY IT.
oh my god. i don’t know how to even start. I am regularly baffled by the fact that if you look at it from the google docs menu it is different than if you look at it from the google drive menu. I am incapable of remembering which is which, and can only use it if I look at the one that is familiar to me, and that view doesn’t show the folders at all. so if I put things into folders, then I can’t find them anymore. So. it’s. ugh.
There was one really great occasion where someone was trying to tell me about some fabulous way of using gdocs and i drove myself to actual tears trying to access it from the drive menu. or vice versa. i forget, but i was like, in this towering rage of frustration because I couldn’t figure out what they were talking about, and the whole time it was because I’d started in the wrong place.
I’m sure there are great organizational tools, but at this point, I’m just so terrified that if i move anything, I’ll never find it again and I’ll just have to abandon all my old projects and start over, that I’m not likely to ever *get* organized, because change is terrifying when you’re barely competent to handle the status quo.
And you, ma’am, should get your own writing done, since you have a rare chance to do so. But at some point my gdocs will crash and I’ll lose everything, and maybe at that point I’ll start over with a good organizational system. *eyeroll emoji*
