Finn just assumed it was Poe knocking on his door, so he didn’t put a shirt on when he went to answer it. He stood there for a blank second staring into Iolo’s dumbstruck face, and as that second stretched to eternity he thought about how far he’d come, that he’d just— forgotten all about being paranoid, about worrying about who’d be at the door, about any of it.
“Jesus fuck,” Iolo said, “Poe is one lucky son of a bitch.”
Finn wasn’t actually shy about his body at all, but they’d impressed physical modesty upon him in his stint in Real World Reconditioning, so he was aware that it was his state of undress Iolo was reacting to. “I assume you finished your project,” Finn said.
“Well,” Iolo said, recovering a little. “I mean, the meeting part of it, yeah. Holy shit, man, how much do you work out? Or do you just— look like that?”
Finn had watched enough movies and things to be aware of what normal people looked like in this society, so he knew he wasn’t particularly odd-looking. Iolo was prone to hyperbole, though, he’d picked up on that. “This is my corporeal form,” Finn said, nodding slightly. “I do look like myself. Can I help you with something?”
