My daughter got mad at me for insisting that she take a nap and she told me, “You’re not the best Mommy anymore!” Well, nice to know I held that position for a little while anyway. :-\
I love it when kids pull that shit.
Like, ok, who is the best Mommy? How many Mommies you got, kid?
Farmbaby is super into screaming at me to stop talking, lately, so that’s awesome. Also sometimes she screams that i can’t look at her. She does this for everyone, but it’s always extra great when you’re the chosen one for that. Tonight while playing a game of Chase with her father, she sprinted into the room where I was sitting, punched me as hard as she could in the back of the head, and turned around and ran back out before I had time to react.
Kids are assholes. (Her dad made her apologize, at least.)
While watching TV with her, I was sitting on the couch next to her, and somehow, in her rapt attention to the television, she wound up sitting on my shoulder like a parrot, which took some doing given that she’s about 35 pounds.
Never a dull moment, I tell you what.
