To round out the Veteran’s Day posts, here’s one my sister just put on her Facebook, of her and her now-husband, and I can’t quite figure out if it was their first or second deployment to Iraq. I do remember that the story with the fountain was that it was some rich person’s villa that the Army had taken over and was using for headquarters. I’d blur out their nametapes but their actual name is the most anonymous name possible.
Oh, if they both have the same name then it’s the second deployment, because they got married between deployments. She’s so young in this picture!!!
(When she got married she gave all her maiden name nametapes to our dad, who was still in the Guard and could use them.)
