(Side note: does Tumblr have any kind of time stamps? Because this is my first time on it today and this post was at the top of my dash, and I can’t tell if that’s an algorithm because I was tagged or if it’s actually the most recent post. Don’t suppose it matters, though.

oh xkit actually has a pretty good timestamp program, which tells me you left this comment seven-something hours ago, and tells me I made that post close to eight hours ago, so actually it would have been pretty new at that point. TO MY KNOWLEDGE, Tumblr has not done what Facebook and Twitter have, where they decide randomly for you what content you should see in what order, irrespective of when it was posted, and thereby ensuring #1 that I never looked at Facebook intently again (it just shows me the same stuff over and over again and no longer is useful for me to use to keep up with family and friends’ actual life events; it decides for me whose content is important, so like, I don’t see my sister’s photos but I do see every drunk post one of my former high school classmates makes about her life), and #2 that Twitter was no longer super-useful as the disaster indication system it had begun to be used by.

Like, a point in Tumblr’s favor, right?

Anyway I posted that entry at 10:07 Eastern time.

Keep your voice down, though, we don’t need Tumblr realizing that there’s a way they could have really fucked things up that they haven’t already done.
