hey normally i’m super down for messaging but because of the stupid tumblr fuckery where they changed the normal messaging noises to “spooky halloween noises” I had to turn off messaging sounds, so– I do actually use those noises for their intended function, namely notifying me that someone has chatted me– I often have multiple Tumblr tabs open (like, one with my activity log, and one with my dashboard, because if you click on notifications in your dashboard you lose your spot), and their messaging works in that case by only popping up messages in the tab you’re not currently using, and so–
anyway, long story short, if you message me I’m already often slow to respond, but now it’s going to be worse. Also consider this a warning, if you didn’t see any of the PSA posts, Tumblr has made your messaging sounds super alarming for no fucking reason at all, so be advised. <3
