on the upside:
I DO have glass coverage on my insurance and i got to fill out a thing online and that meant they called me so i had to answer a scary phone call but it also meant it got done. so. tomorrow they’re going to fix my windshield. that’s cool.
i am allowing myself, like, one more hour to write fluffy modern a/u stormpilot stuff, cumulatively, and then I’m setting that aside and going back to the actual progress i was for real making on chapter 9 of home in the wind volume ninety-zillion.
i considered and discarded like twenty possible Elaborate Backstories and am deciding not to get into any of them. i think the whole point is that There’s Some Shit There And We Don’t Need To Talk About It. We’ll see how that goes, as an experiment. And pet some more cats.
My sister just… never wrote back when I texted her the link to the story of hers I stole, so. We’ll just never know. It’s all right, she gave me some good advice on how to get my windshield fixed. It will return to That Which We Do Not Speak Of. Hmmmm maybe I have some non-fictional precedents for this attitude…
