also it’s ostensibly not all that cold tonight but dang i can’t stop watching my breath mist in the air in this room brrrr.
i will not turn the kero heater on, i think it’s nearly out of fuel anyway.
we’ll see how i feel about that in the morning. when it’s 40F. hm.

oh the one cat who has never visited the yurt before discovered me, Beans, the magnificent tortie. She was out in the field, I think hunting, and she heard me and brother-in-law as we were checking on Cookies, and so came over to find us, and then I went into the yurt and she was like bzuh what happen where person go THIS WEIRD THING IN FIELD IS BEDROOM??? with a PEOPLE IN IT???? and her tiny mind kind of blew and she stood on top of my body and kneaded me while purring so hard she drooled, which is a lot from a cat who I never heard purr for the first four years I knew her, and now she is asleep behind my knees. Which is helping, a little. but y’know. it’s cold as fuck in here.
I bought another roll of Reflectix. I gotta get it up in these rafters, man. I just– gotta. Gonna be 32 tomorrow night.
