yeah as a person who lives on a nocturnal schedule, where i sometimes have to go outside and walk around at 4am, it’s a bad time
Yeah. Now that it’s dark by 7pm, I am *going* to have to go outside after dark, there’s just no two ways about it, and I’m going to have to walk past the looming empty barn, and then I’m out there in the woods and I can’t put a fan on for white noise because it’s so damn cold that’s the last thing I need.
It’s a shame. I love spooky shit. I love those stories with the unimaginable horrors of the unknowable eternal and so on.
But I really really really am not keen on sprinting the 800 yards from house to yurt every time in a panic, nor am I super into lying awake envisioning the eldritch abominations that must be what’s making that noise out there. Y’know?
Bummer.
