I actually think Farmbaby is misbehaving and being disciplined in this picture
Moonrise over bonfire
Farmbaby wants to pet every pullet
Mom and Annie arranging flowers
Aaron, turning the tractor around with the potato digger on the back
farmbaby + my bff's babies = one slightly-overwhelmed Lorraine
look at the size of this damn truck
beehives!
Assorted late-summer scenes. The field scenes are the potato harvest, which was disappointing– lack of water meant the potatoes were tiny, and so there won’t be enough to go around for the winter boxes. They may not even be able to sell winter boxes at all, which is a huge bummer and a blow to their income.
The giant truck, I took a photo to show that it was almost the size of the granary. They delivered a couple of tons of feed, and backed across a bridge precisely as wide as the truck to do so, which was impressive and terrifying.
The child in the cage is Farmbaby helping her mother and father move some of the new laying pullets out of the chick brooder and onto pasture, to let them get some time outdoors before winter. That damn owl came back, though, and took a toll, I won’t go into more detail because it’s too sad. Those poor baby chickens. They’re so much happier outdoors, but it’s a bit more dangerous…
