1) why are people SO EAGER to deny your lived experience??? this is today, particularly, a Facebook phenomenon, but I’ve noticed this a lot of places like that– you post something ‘relatable’ and you get six to eight “omg me too!”s and one “that’s just not true”. Like. Person, maybe it’s “just not true” for you but clearly me and the other six or eight people on this thread aren’t making this up for the sheer hell of it, so maybe your experience isn’t typical? But it happens basically every time, there’s always one person who can’t fucking wait to shit on you.
I mostly notice it on Facebook, but. Anyway. (NB: Not a gendered phenomenon. Like, there’s Always A Dude, I know, in general life, but in this case, it’s not always. I do have a pretty heavily-female sample, but it’s very often another woman.)

2) i wrote a great scene today for chapter 7 of whatever the big epic SW WIP is called, where BB-8 gets to enact A Diabolical Plan, and I’m quite pleased with how it’s turning out.
“I’m not whining,” Jess said. “I’m just saying, B, that maybe having Poe as your pilot has skewed your idea of what most people consider acceptable risk.”
