from the depths of my external hard drive i present to you another masterpiece. this is Mabel Zeh Denison, my mother’s mother’s mother, with a goose.
Mom found a whole folder full of negatives labeled with her grandmother’s handwriting in her brother’s house after he died, and I scanned them. They were old 120 or 620 film, probably from a Brownie box camera or similar. They’re all like this, but this is the greatest one, because of course there’s no explanation whatsoever for the goose but he’s in a bunch of the pictures.
Bonus round: there’s a bunch of vacation photos from Niagara Falls. Mabel was a young woman in the first/second decade of the 20th century, she was born around 1890 I think, so.
