Well, I spent all day cooking and cleaning and chasing baby, which was fine, but I definitely blew my writing deadline. Also it is one hundred thousand percent humidity, there was a great torrential downpour right as I was putting dinner on the table and I did not have the top of the yurt closed (because the rain was over for the day, said the radar! that cloudburst never appeared on the damn radar), and my skin has had hives and eczema kind of blend together into this kind of vaguely leprous slurry that’s really just appalling to look at. I can’t even stand to contemplate my own physical form, it is repulsive.
Chapter six is lagging but I do have a Kes/Shara thing like, ninety percent done. And I might have some time tomorrow. Well, it’s going to be beastly hot and incredibly humid, so I might just lie down and die.
I know, I know, 91 degrees doesn’t sound like much, but this is Upstate, we don’t have air conditioning of any kind. And the weather’s going to be like that through the weekend. My skin might actually rot off. ughhh.
