Ohhhhh…I am crushed by the idea that Poe might have lost his entire relationship with Rey, but I trust you implicitly. Also, um, hi? I joined Tumblr a couple of weeks ago primarily to interact with the writers of some incredible stories and I haven’t really…well, actually attempted to interact with anyone yet. So here’s me dipping my toe in: this saga is gorgeous and visceral and occupies a shocking percentage of my brain. Also, I was into Atlantis back in the day. So, hi, and you rock.
Haha, welcome to this blue hell site that up until really recently had no way of replying to posts short of reblogging them, and that still doesn’t have any way to reply to replies short of reblogging *them*. :O I also joined Livejournal when it was new, and i pine frequently for it, and I haven’t really mastered the etiquette of Tumblr either for all that I have made over six thousand posts and have been using it for more than five years. (I know, right?)
Interacting is awesome and it’s the main thing I enjoy here but it’s really hard to get through the noise to find the signal, if you know what I mean. So, good luck with that.
I broke my own heart coming up with that particular plot twist but I considered it all around and thought, well, this is the only way I can see to do the thing I need to do, and bonus, it’s a rich mine of angstfeels, and given that’s mostly what I write, I decided that was all right. But yes, you are correct to trust me; I can’t bear to have an unhappy ending and I have zero interest or ability to leave stuff unresolved, for all I am horribly addicted to cliffhangers in my chapter endings. (Mostly, pedestrianly, because if you stop at an emotionally charged moment, you can stop at all; otherwise if I continue through the resolution you wind up with the chapter meandering on and on and on and it’s really hard to find a stopping place. I swear I’m not trying to be mean. It’s just the only way I can shut myself up long enough to click “publish”.)
This saga has occupied most of my brain for a very long time, so I guess I’m just glad to share, is what it amounts to. :)
And Atlantis is what got me to interact fannishly with Tumblr, so long ago! To this day my drafts folder has probably four hundred photosets of John Sheppard’s face that I never reblogged because I didn’t know how else to keep track of them.
