Wishing you all the most positive vibes. I know intimately the feeling you’re describing. It really sucks and I hope that you can get the help you need. Sometimes for myself I just have to ask my hubby to do things or help walk me through them. I’m really individualistic at times so this is so hard for me to ask. But it helps. Not saying you need to do what I do. Just trying to offer camaraderie in sucky times.

Dude stayed the course and kept trying with the Drano and the drain snake, and did enough experimentation to discover that in fact the shower and toilet drain through a different drain and weren’t affected, which is a huge relief. Eventually, the drain did clear, and doesn’t gurgle anymore, which is vastly reassuring, and now I can go back to my frantic laundry-doing and not worry. I couldn’t be happier about that, and it’s down to zero effort on my part, so I can’t complain at all.
Other than that, I did manage to get myself together enough to make a couple of small things yesterday. I shortened the straps on some cheap men’s tank tops I bought (it’s $20 for a cheap camisole in my size in women’s cut, or $10 for a 4-pack of men’s a-shirts, but the men’s shirts have armholes to my waist, which is a problem) and re-hemmed them, and I also made a circular screen out of some polyester organza that will fit nicely in the center roof hole of the yurt and let more light and air through.
And I finally got myself to work on chapter 4, which I had hoped to have done by now, but hey. I bet I can get it up by Wednesday, so I’ll really only have slipped one chapter.
I’ve sort of moved on to advanced-level paralysis, where all the unproductive milling that usually derails me is out of the way, and now I’ve done Step One of like fifteen things, but at least I’m stuck in different places and I’m not quite so bummed about it.
I *do* keep getting assaulted by little waves of “nothing matters” sentiment, so that’s a bummer. But I found my Hundred Motherfuckers embroidery, that I finished and promptly lost like six months ago, so I’m pretty delighted about that. :)
