I adore Kes, but then again that may say something about me
Kes snuck up on me and I’m definitely OC’ing him. He’s a fun character but there’s almost no canon information about him and I let myself go a little nuts, there.
Which is probably my brain begging me to go back to writing original stuff again, but you know. It’s really hard. It’s like cutting sugar out of your diet, to drop fanfic. I used to bounce back and forth a lot, get a hit of the attention fanfic gives you then go back to original stuff. But I’ve been using it a lot more heavily and I don’t think I’ve even spent an hour working on original stuff in the last, ugh, like, years at this point. I think 2012 is the last time I tried.
It just feels so pointless, like yelling at yourself alone in the dark.
