I actually didnt know that
This is a massive Thing in world history! During the stone age, a random mutation meant that some Europeans did not develop the lactose intolerance that usually shows up as mammals age.
We suddenly had access to delicious, nourishing protein that we did NOT have to kill anything to get. Renewable resources! We went NUTS with the mating and the breeding. Even moreso once someone figured out how to make hard cheese, which let us store said protein for years at a time, making us resistant to famines.
