Chupacabras update: Farm Manager Aaron heard, then saw, a fox barking in the driveway of the house this morning.
I asked a coworker at Camera Store Day Job, who is the kind of guy who does solo kayaking trips wherein he nearly gets killed all the time and who basically lives in the woods, and he had no idea what the thing in my video could possibly be. But further Googling suggests that gray foxes have a hoarser bark than red foxes, who are kind of squeaky in a way that the Chupacabras wasn’t.
Aaron described what he heard as a “vixen scream” (he’s a New Englander so who even knows what he knows), and the thing I recorded definitely wasn’t. But it is possible that it is a sex-crazed fox of some sort.
I’m still seriously considering buying a trail/game camera. The YurtCam! I dunno man.
