vrabia’s tags: #‘neglectful engineer’ okay then #come over to my house so we can talk about how poe habitually tweaks functions and bits of programming on bb-8 #because he knows his small droid child only ever means well but that level of loyalty could interfere with poe’s job #and you know poe hates himself for having to do this because he thinks he’s interfering with bb-8’s autonomy #and he’s always thought of bb-8 as a person more than anything else #but it’s the only way he can think of to do his duty and not hurt bb-8’s feelings by leaving the droid behind #on missions where that could be a liability #what they don’t know can’t hurt them; poe reasons #he still feels like an asshole when he deletes very small bits of bb-8’s memory #star wars #listen i’m all for fluff with these two but also they’re an excellent and sadly under-explored source of great angst
