Oh, the digitalis?
Well, it’s not blooming yet. And by the time it is, the chickens will be pastured elsewhere. The egg chickens have a movable wheelie house that moves every… week, I think? and it’s next to the picking garden just now, but by the time anything interesting is ripe, they’ll be way up the hill.
Chickens are fascinating to watch, though. They’re just so busy! Never a dull moment. As a child I fancied that I could speak chicken; now I realize their calls are not quite so simple as I’d worked out, as a kid. But now my dude, who hasn’t spent much time around chickens at all, is trying to decipher their language, and it’s entertaining.
