ha, i remember this from studying pirates. that they wear the eye-patch because it’s dark belowdecks
Ha I think I heard that one too? It seems like– why would you fulltime deprive yourself of depth perception? But maybe depending what your job was it’d be worth it, like if you had to transition from above to below all the dang time.
I dunno, I just felt like dispensing my dad’s weird fatherly wisdom for people.
Spending next week visiting the family, I gotta psych myself up to avoid mentioning politics AT ALL the whole time. Although, at least my parents, political polar opposites, are incredibly united in hating the fuck out of Andrew Cuomo, the current NY governor. It’s like a super-weird Greek chorus. He thinks he’s God! goes the strophe, He wants to govern by decree goes the apostrophe, it’s twenty-five years since I took that class and I don’t remember anything else about Greek drama.
Ohhh maybe though I can get my Army sister to do some K-Stories-style nonfic memoir stuff, with her husband not around and her kids old enough to entertain themselves. I would love to do some interviews of her. This is my note to self, there.
