Alright, so. In late November this year some of us had a lot of fun running with this idea https://eatingcroutons.tumblr.com/post/702137208461737984/how-it-started-how-its-going-i-love-everyone-in to create a whole bunch of smut https://href.li/?https://archiveofourown.org/collections/wanksgiving_2022/works to distract ourselves and each other from whatever holiday shenanigans we might otherwise have been expected to participate in.

And it was so much fun that we thought, let’s do that again https://href.li/?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPGhsYg0l40!

And so! The plan is that around the 23rd of December we’ll start throwing as much smut as we can into the Wanksmas 2022 Collection. https://href.li/?https://archiveofourown.org/collections/Wanksmas_2022 The collection will remain open and anonymous until sometime on December 26th, at which point authors will be revealed. If you’re feeling up to it, you can try to post drabbles https://href.li/?https://fanlore.org/wiki/Drabble (works of exactly 100 words) but honestly anything you want to throw into the collection is fine.

FAQs:

• No worries if you don’t get your smut posted before the collection goes un-anon. It will remain open for anyone who’s running a little late to post their works.
• If you want your smutty submissions to remain anonymous after that, make sure to add them to the Anonymous collection https://href.li/?https://archiveofourown.org/collections/anonymous as well.
• You don’t have to post drabbles (exactly 100 words). The idea is to have some fun, not conform to strict expectations.
• You also don’t have to post smut. It’s encouraged, but not required.
• Yes, this means we’re basically encouraging a free-for-all to get people scrabbling out short and/or smutty fics to celebrate the season.

We’ve also got a vaguely-organised Discord server for flailing and brainstorming; DM me for an invite.

I will be participating in this like I did for Wanksgiving but it is worth mentioning i think that while there are like 200 prompts brainstormed already on that Discord server (you also can DM me for an invite, i know where it’s at), the only ones that have taken root in my brain so far are persistently all not smut

so also feel free to join in and write not-smut if you want me not to be alone in my G-rated corner LOL
