Cool that you have something that helps. Yikes re having no space of your own at work. I’m mystified re the car thing, but I have my own don-wannas, so won’t argue. I don’t feel abused.
Oh, it’s just that there’s some asshole who goes through our neighborhood breaking into any car that’s unlocked and just– rummaging, and I have a terrible memory and forget to lock my car just often enough that it’s been rummaged through like… four or five times now? once while I was home in broad daylight? and this person just yanks everything out and scatters it everywhere, carries some off, takes change purses etc.– so I’m not leaving stuff in my car. (I still have the random keychain that isn’t mine that this person left in there. Ugh.)
Yeah, part of why I hate my job so much is that I’m just so– precarious there, I guess? I have to move my chair for my coworker to get at stuff in the drawers of the desk all the time. I have nowhere to even put my purse, I have to put it on the floor and then roll over it with my chair. Ugh.
On a separate note I’ve been aware that all along in these posts I’ve been sort of shitty about recognizing that menstruation isn’t something that only women do? but since mostly I’m talking about the weight of cultural expectation, that really only does apply to women. I’m sure there are a whole lot of cultural expectation-weights that apply to transmen and nonbinary people with uteruses etc., but part of the whole shitshow of it is that the prevailing popular opinion just doesn’t ever consider that at all. Not only is reproduction a matter for people of all genders to consider, but menstruation itself isn’t even exclusively a thing women do. But explaining that– ugh.
Anyway, so, I’m sorry if I’ve been trans-exclusionary, I just haven’t known how to address that, specifically. All I have to offer is my cisgender-female lived experience and I don’t mean to exclude anybody but I also don’t want to talk shit about stuff I honestly don’t know anything about.
