yeah so i got my covid booster and the flu shot on saturday and it kicked my fucking ass

14 hours later i had a fever of 100.8F and was up half the night with aches and shivers and whatnot. I got through it, and took a nap in the morning, and figured i was okayish, but reupped my ibuprofen dose anyway. when that wore off sunday evening I checked again and had a fever of 99.8F, which is like– my normal body temperature is somewhere around 96.5. So that’s a lot.

anyway. have been completely useless this entire weekend. RIP, but at least I know that flu shot wasn’t a placebo! (I haven’t had a ton of reaction to the covid shots so I doubt that’s what did it, but I haven’t had a flu shot in a while so it makes sense this one took me out.)

anyway i’ve like. thought about writing a lot. i have not written though. not really.

I also had my butt kicked by flu + covid booster on the same day: a mild fever for about 24 hours, utter exhaustion for one day, then a day of "I can now leave my bed but I am not leaving this house", plus a really sore arm throughout. Then on the third morning I woke up with no fever, no tiredness, and no ache in my arm, and was almost disconcertingly Back To Normal Again.
