Dude asked me to mail a package for him. Well, UPS– he had a label for it, from work, but he’d have to drop it at a UPS store, and my workplace has a daily scheduled UPS pickup. So I can tape a label on a box and it’ll go that day, no problem.

The problem is that it didn’t fit in my work bag. He set it next to my computer, and this morning I got the box and the computer to my bag, but then had to set the box next to my bag. And then I did all the rest of my getting-ready routine, and got my shoes on, and got my bag all packed up and zipped, and then left the house… you can predict what’s going to happen here, if you’re ADHD or whatever the fuck, you know how this is gonna go.

Yes. I left the house with one item.

Got to work, picked up the single item from the seat next to me, stared at the otherwise-empty seat.

I had brought the package. Not the bag with my computer, my charger, my coffee travel mug, my water bottle, my lunch, my breakfast, and the fifteen pounds of assorted garbage I haul back and forth daily because I don’t even know what’s in that bag.

So anyway I went inside and started a tape going, and then came home and got my bag and came back to work, since I have the great good fortune of a five-minute commute. But like.

Ay yi yi. New rule: if he wants me to mail something for him, it goes into my car. That way he can remind me when I’m already at work, and I can just take care of it then. (Your picture was not posted)
