so listen i don’t think i’ve talked on here about the wonderful idea i had for a Morvran family backstory but suffice to say, I have managed to work it in incidentally to a different bit of story, and it involves more in-universe romance novel bullshit and I’m just

well it’s not easy but it is fun

anyway there’s a seventeen-novel series and I am experiencing the most intense desire of my life to actually typeset and print excerpts of them as pamphlets simply so I can touch the physical object itself because I think it would be really funny, so like

(part of the plot is that they’re romance novels that get translated and at one point there are pamphlets made out of just the sex scenes that get limited-edition distribution in certain select brothels as a promotion and I just think it’s really entertaining to worldbuild that. It becomes plot-relevant because the pamphlets are in translation, and then an unauthorized translation gets published, and because the pamphlet publisher still had a bunch of the type set up from the pamphlets, they’re able to whip out an authorized translated edition in record time and it’s a bestseller. Bonus, the terrible pornographic woodcuts get included in the appendices. No, I am not actually going to do pornographic woodcuts or actually print these, I just think it would be funny.)

How does this connect to Morvran? Well, we’ll get there.

I do have titles and plot synopses for the first seven of them, and publishing dates tied in with the timeline of the rest of the whole shebang, but I’m still working on the rest.

Also I get to include a cameo from a book-and-W3 character I’m rather excited to use. So this is all shaping up to be… well, it will be fun, once I’ve done the hard parts. (Your picture was not posted)
