I had prior knowledge of chaperon hats actually, and I don’t tend to watch videos, but I’ll pass the info along if anyone else is interested.

This discussion of the chaperon/hood evolution (I think I had conversations with several people in Discords and comment threads) had previously led to too much peering at the art to figure out if Roche’s hat was one of the sewn-in-place ones or if it really just was a hood worn a la chaperon, and we collectively (in a Discord chat) decided it’d be funniest if it was really a hood (which other characters, including Geralt, do wear in W2) and that has led to discussion of a situation wherein Roche wears the chaperon in its original hood configuration and what that would look like, and in fact that led cacheth https://tmblr.co/mRy2YsWvd0yXN7L8ZIjdOlA to redraw this panel from the window-climbing comic https://archiveofourown.org/works/37236091/chapters/95766064#main: [image: image]
